An island fishing game
HYPTILEISLAND
Wake up at Jade Landing under the lanterns, cast off the sand, then follow the boardwalk to the harbour: Captain Roid sells the boats, PoorGoat buys the fish and hands out the quests.
Press R for the rod. Hold the left mouse button to wind up, release to cast: the longer you hold, the farther it goes.Tap Rod for the rod. Hold Cast to wind up and let go to cast: the longer you hold, the farther it goes.
You start at Jade Landing, the pavilion at the east end of the bay. The boardwalk runs west past Captain Roid's yard to Ethena Prosper, PoorGoat and the pier.
Watch the bobber. A few nibbles, then it's pulled under: click the left mouse buttontap Cast that moment to set the hook.
In a fight, hold to reel but keep the line tension in the green. Ease off when the fish runs, or the line snaps.
What bites depends on where you fish: the shallows, the pier, the reef, the deep water past the drop-off, and the time of day.
PoorGoat at the fish stand buys your catch and posts quests: story quests earn new crew, and rolling orders pay extra for the fish he wants.
Captain Roid (listen for the clicks) sells boats at the yard east of the pier; Ethena's chandlery sells gear. Press K for the crew.
Press V to switchThe View button switches between third and first person. Add ?server=ws://host:8765/island to the URL to fish with friends: name tags, chat and one shared island clock.
